Some people doodle. Others sit on Facebook. When I’ve got nothing better to do I attempt poetry. The following was inspired by someone who I’m sure is actually a pixie in disguise.
The Changeling
The despicable switch was like many before
A fey child for human, raised on the moor.
While the other masquerades in the world among men
You can tell by his eyes he is not one of them.
They are slanted, mischievous, and matching his grin.
And with a wink of those eyes draws admirers in.
He is shallow, and childish, like a jester of old
But despite his misgivings, angry words go untold.
For there is a truth in this world, as old as time,
Every girl loves the fairy, and I adore mine.

Love poem with a difference! Good for you.
I have just discovered Facebook, and it is a black hole that sucks me in... but I have found a dozen scattered friends, so on balance, it's been worth it. So far.
